上公共汽車、上火車、上飛機，上輪船等我們都知道用get on

get on bus/ train /plane/ship

“上出租車”，翻譯成get on a taxi 是錯的，正確的是get into a taxi。

上小汽車：get into a car

get on 一般是上“火車，飛機，公共汽車”等可以站立的交通工具，而get into 是不能站立，只能坐。

介詞in ,on和by都可以與表示交通工具的名詞搭配,表示交通方式,但其用法各不相同：

1．用“by＋交通工具名詞”表示交通方式.此時交通工具的名詞只能用單數,不能用復數,也不能被冠詞或物主代詞等限定.如：by bike（騎自行車）,by bus（乘公共汽車）,by car（乘出租車）,by train（乘火車）,by ship（乘輪船） by boat(乘船),by plane（乘飛機），by air（乘飛機）等.如：

They often go home by bus．他們經常坐公共汽車回家.

I come here by taxi．我乘出租車來這兒的.

He goes to work by bike．他騎自行車去上班.

2．用“by＋交通路線的位置”來表示交通方式.如：by land（從陸路）,by water（從水路）,by sea（從海路）,by air（乘飛機）等.如：

They go to England by air．他們乘飛機去英國.

3．用“in（on）＋交通工具名詞”.此時交通工具名詞前必須有冠詞、名詞所有格形式或形容詞性物主代詞等限定詞修飾.其用法與“by＋交通工具名詞”相似.如：

He often goes to school on a（his）bike．他經常騎自行車去上學.

Don't come here on ／in the ship．不要坐船來這里.

We go there in a car．我們乘小汽車去那里.（in a car=by car=take a car）

in a taxi=by taxi(taxi=cab)

on a subway=by subway=take the subway

take the train=by train

take a plane=by plane

on a bike=ride a bike=by bike

on a motorbike=ride a (the) motorbike

on a electrombile= ride a (the) electrombile

take a boat=by boat=on a boat

by water= on ／in the ship=by ship

4．用“take a（the）＋交通工具名詞”表示交通方式.如：take a bus（乘公共汽車）,take a train（乘火車）,take a ship/boat（乘輪船）,take a plane（乘飛機）；但“騎自行車”要用 ride a bike/ ride the bicycle來表示；take the subway/train（乘地鐵、火車）.take the bike（騎自行車）；take the car（坐、開小汽車）.如：

Will you take a bus to go there?你乘汽車去那兒嗎?

5．表示“步行去某地”,可用下列兩種句式：

（1）go to ＋某地＋ on foot.如：

She g oes to w ork on foot．她步行去上班.

注意：on foot不可說成 on feet,on a ／the ／my foot,by foot等.

（2）walk/get to ＋某地.如：

He walks/gets to school every day ．＝He goes to school on foot every day ．

他每天步行去上學.
